Success Stories

“StoryCare enables the multidisciplinary teams to communicate amongst each other as never before. Since StoryCare has been implemented, new processes have been established which help the units avoid running into each other, creating smoother processes and enhancing teamwork and communication.”

Lorry Lewis, MS, CCC-SLP, Manager of Clinical Services, Administration, DeKalb Medical Center

“At the time we presented the medication story I was receiving multiple emails a day from pharmacy regarding staff removing medication under the wrong patient name. Since the inception of StoryCare, whereas, I had routinely been receiving three emails a day, I am now receiving three emails a week. I have even had weeks where I have received NO email.   It is “tangible evidence” that we are able to quantify.  I look forward to the story each month and we are constantly looking to find opportunities for new stories!”

“[We were also looking] to find a unique way of educating that would catch the attention of the staff and leave a lasting impression. The way that StoryCare is designed, it immediately grabs you’re attention and you see staff listening intently. The first time we presented StoryCare, you could see the “ah-hah” moment. It was amazing! Staff recognized the moral of the story and was able to identify how this scenario could very easily become a reality in their environment. The StoryCare presentation initiated staff engagement and a great discussion followed.”
